Bournemouth University has moved up five places in the latest QS World University Rankings for Europe, placing it in the top third of universities on the continent.

The QS rankings assess universities on teaching quality, research impact, graduate employment prospects and opportunities for students to study or undertake work placements overseas.
Bournemouth University performed particularly strongly for international engagement. It is ranked in the top 50 in the UK for both outgoing student exchanges and overseas students coming to study at the university. It is also in the UK top 50 for the range of international universities it works with on research.
The university is ranked in the top 150 in Europe for the diversity of its academic staff and for the influence of its research, measured by how often it is cited.
Professor Alison Honour said graduates benefit from a global university experience and opportunities to study alongside international students and staff. She said the ranking reflects work across the university to help students develop an international outlook for their future careers.
