Nick Cope will bring a new family concert to Lighthouse Poole on Saturday 10 October.
The concert is recommended for children aged 3 and over, with Cope performing songs written for young audiences and their families while playing guitar alongside animations created as part of the live presentation.
Cope has spent more than 10 years writing and recording children’s music, while his profile has grown through the CBeebies programme Nick Cope’s Popcast and performances staged for audiences around the country.
The new concert will include familiar songs and additional material, using music, humour and visual elements to involve children and adults in the same performance without speaking down to its younger audience.
Radio Times said his work offered “musical fun for children and parents alike”, while Steve Lamacq said Cope had become “the Ray Davies for the pre teen generation” through his approach to children’s songwriting.
