Plans to transform the former Adventure Wonderland theme park into a mixed-use leisure, tourism and education destination will not be decided this week as expected.
The proposals include reopening the café and shop, retaining the maze, creating gardens and outdoor play areas, introducing mini golf and reusing the former karting track for pedal tractors.
The application also includes retrospective permission for existing uses on the site and a commercial airport parking operation with 107 spaces.
The plans were originally due to be considered by BCP Council’s planning committee on 28 May, but that meeting was cancelled because of what the council described as an administrative error.
A rescheduled meeting on 5 June was also postponed after additional information was submitted shortly before the hearing.
Planning officers said they need more time to review the new material before councillors make a decision.
The committee unanimously agreed to defer the application, which is expected to return to a future meeting later this summer.
