Halloween light trail returns to Moors Valley

An illuminated Halloween trail will return to Moors Valley forest for 10 nights this autumn.

Running from 23 October until 1 November, the after dark route will use lighting, characters and immersive scenes to transform familiar woodland paths as visitors follow a Halloween story through the trees.

The trail will take guests beneath giant skeletons and into a carnivorous garden, while the Demon Barber, flickering lights, strange symbols and scenes inspired by ancient forest rituals add further encounters along the route.

Natalie Crabb, Recreation Manager for Forestry England at Moors Valley, said the woodland setting would offer “real surprises along the way” for visitors exploring the forest after dark.

James Dakin, Director of Live Experiences at RG Live, said the event is focused on family fun, with “bold scenes, curious characters and a trail packed with surprises” from the opening step.

Food and drink will also be available during the evening, including hot chocolate, marshmallows, seasonal street food and sweet treats, with separate charges applying. Entry will be offered at timed intervals, with limited capacity available on each evening.
