A Bournemouth family is launching a free online programme to help young people prepare for work using AI.
RiZE Gen Z launches on Friday 3 July and is aimed at people aged 18 to 25 who want practical guidance on using artificial intelligence for employment, communication and everyday tasks.
The online programme has been created by entrepreneur Steve Bolton and his children Jude, Charlie and Ella through The Bolt Practice, with lessons covering how to prompt AI, create CVs, prepare for interviews and improve LinkedIn profiles.
Its founders say the course is based on the idea that AI should work alongside people rather than replace them, helping users break down tasks, develop ideas and build confidence in the workplace.
The programme developed after Steve’s youngest son Jude began using AI while revising for his GCSEs, creating study plans, simplifying difficult topics and practising exam-style questions.
Jude said: “AI helped me learn in a way that actually made sense to me.”
He has since become an AI apprentice, coach and young entrepreneur with The Bolt Practice, while his older brother Charlie uses AI in his Bournemouth streetwear business, Garm Depot.
Their sister Ella has also used AI in website building, technical problem-solving and marketing work linked to sustainability and responsible AI.
Steve Bolton said young people need “practical help, honest guidance and the confidence to use AI as a partner, not a replacement”.
The programme is open to anyone aged 18 to 25, with the family particularly hoping to support young people across Bournemouth, Christchurch, Poole and Dorset.
