Poole Quay folk festival returns this weekend

Poole Quay folk festival returns this weekend

Poole Quay will host two days of folk music and family entertainment this weekend again.

The free outdoor festival returns on Saturday 27 and Sunday 28 June, bringing traditional and contemporary folk music to several areas of the historic quayside alongside Morris dancing, street performers, artisan stalls, craft stalls, Dinky Donuts and entertainment for all ages.

Poole Quay Events is organising the festival, which is returning in its 2-day format after being developed by hospitality professionals Anna Doyle of The Yachtsman and Michelle Smith of Poole Arms through their Community Interest Company, launched in 2024.

Anna Doyle said the event was a chance to celebrate “music, community, and our beautiful quayside”, adding that organisers had put together a line-up they were looking forward to sharing with visitors.

Michelle Smith said the weekend was intended to bring people together while supporting local businesses and artists, describing it as an event for the whole community.

Poole BID is the headline sponsor, supporting the festival’s free entry, while Hall and Woodhouse is backing the event for the first time in 2026.

Poole BID chief executive Jacqui Rock said the festival brings visitors into the town and supports local trade, while Hall and Woodhouse chairman Anthony Woodhouse said it would showcase local culture, music and hospitality.
