Bournemouth abseil to aid local hospice

A charity abseil is taking place in Bournemouth this summer to support local hospice care.

Lewis-Manning is hosting 2 challenge days from the top of the Bournemouth Ocean 80 Building on 3 and 4 July, giving people the chance to take on a 10-storey descent while raising money for the Dorset charity.

The Leap for Lewis-Manning event will support local people living with life-limiting illnesses, with proceeds going back into services for the Dorset community, including patient care and clinical treatments.

The abseil is being promoted as a chance for participants to see Bournemouth from a different viewpoint and take on a challenge outside their comfort zone while supporting the independent hospice charity.

Money raised from the event will go directly towards Lewis-Manning’s work with local patients and families, helping to fund the care and treatment provided by the charity across the area.

People who want to take part can sign up through the Lewis-Manning website at lewis-manning.org.uk/abseil.
