Poole lender marks 45 years of growth

A Poole based finance lender has marked its 45th anniversary with a major industry event.

More than 100 property professionals gathered at Scaplen’s Court in Poole, close to the firm’s head office, for a celebration bringing together clients, suppliers, partners and team members, reflecting its continued growth and connections across the sector.

The event followed the theme ‘Built to Last’, highlighting the importance of long term planning and strong foundations in both property development and wider business activity. It also builds on the company’s ambitions to grow its loan book to £750 million by 2030.

Chief Executive Leigh Bartlett said it was “a real pleasure” to bring people together, adding that the milestone reflected the strength of relationships supporting the business. He also thanked local suppliers who contributed to the event.

Commercial Director Adam Tovey said the company continues to support developers who may face challenges accessing funding elsewhere, noting that its approach remains focused on flexibility and close working relationships as it expands nationally.

Guests included long term customers and industry figures, who highlighted the importance of consistency and understanding within lending partnerships.

Entertainment included live music and themed catering, with elements designed to reflect construction materials, alongside personalised items created for attendees.

Founded in Poole in 1981, the business now employs around 60 people, with further recruitment planned as it continues to expand.
