Three residents of a Poole street have won £1 million in the People’s Postcode Lottery’s Millionaire Street draw.
Amy House, who works in the maternity ward at Poole Hospital, and her neighbour, Brian Lewis, each won £250,000.
A third resident, who held two tickets in their BH12 4LF postcode, won half a million pounds.
Four local charities have also been awarded £180,000 by Postcode Community Trust.
They are Poole Communities Trust (£70,000), People First Forum (£50,000), Hope for Food (£30,000) and Dorset Parent Infant Partnership (£30,000).
Amy, 40, and husband Tom are planning to spend their winnings on a family campervan and visiting her brother who lives in California.
She said: “Oh my goodness. Is this a dream? I told myself it might be ten, twenty, thirty maybe… I never expected six figures.”
Her neighbour, Brian, 65, said: “I feel absolutely stunned. Quarter of a millionaire!”
His wife Chris, 66, said: “No! Oh my god. Is that really real?”
Hannah Baker, Chief Officer at Poole Communities Trust, said the £70,000 awarded to the charity was “absolutely incredible”.
She added: “We’re going to put some towards our priority services as well as a new skate park in the Turlin Moor area.”
