Christchurch bank cordoned after cash is stolen in overnight burglary
A Christchurch bank was cordoned off while police investigated a burglary.
Dorset Police were alerted at just after one twenty this morning at Santander’s High Street branch.
It’s reported that three men forced entry to the bank and stole a quantity of cash.
Officers attended and carried out a search of the area, but the offenders were not located.
No arrests have been made.
The full statement from Dorset Police reads: “Dorset Police received a report at 1.23am on Monday 26 February 2024 of a burglary at Santander in High Street in Christchurch.
“It is reported that three men forced entry to the bank and stole a quantity of cash.
“Officers attended and carried out a search of the area, but the offenders were not located.
“An investigation is underway and a cordon is in place at the bank to allow for an examination of the scene to be carried out.
“No arrests have been made.”
