Dorset Police has launched an investigation after a 51-year-old woman was found dead at an address in Paddington Grove.
Emergency services were called at around 2.55am on Wednesday 1 July.
A cordon remains in place while enquiries continue to establish the full circumstances of the death.
Chief Inspector Nicola Jenkins, from the Major Crime Investigation Team, is appealing for anyone who saw suspicious activity in the Paddington Grove area between Tuesday 9 June and Wednesday 1 July to come forward.
Police say there will be an increased presence in the area and are urging people not to speculate on social media.
