Seafood and Sounds returns to Poole next month, bringing music, food and family activities across town.
The two day festival takes place on Saturday 12 and Sunday 13 September, covering Poole Quay, the Old Town, High Street and other locations around the town centre.
More than 60 independent traders will sell local produce, food and handcrafted items, while 40 music acts perform each day across nine spaces including St James’ Church and the Fish Shambles.
Seafood stalls will operate along Poole Quay, with chefs also presenting cookery demonstrations inside the Dolphin Centre using produce from across the region.
Families can take part in an Oyster Trail, circus skills sessions and interactive music workshops, while historical performances at Scaplen’s Court will combine sea shanties with stories about Poole’s maritime past.
The festival begins with a parade from Slug and Lettuce through the Old Town to Poole Quay, while Brownsea Island holds a Community Open Day on Saturday.
Organisers describe the weekend as an invitation to “explore Poole”, supporting local businesses while connecting different streets, venues and public spaces.
