Brodie marks 500th panto at Pavilion

Actor and comedian Noel Brodie has celebrated his five hundredth pantomime performance during the recent run of Cinderella at Bournemouth Pavilion.

The milestone was reached on Sunday 14 December and came during another festive season for Brodie, who has appeared in the venue’s pantomimes every year since 2014, becoming a regular presence on the Pavilion stage each Christmas.

This year’s production has just come to a close, in which he played Buttons.

Noel’s association with the theatre has spanned more than a decade and seen him perform hundreds of shows for local audiences.

Born in Luton and raised in Devon, Brodie describes Bournemouth as his second home, reflecting long standing personal and professional ties built through repeated seasons at the Pavilion and wider work connected to the town.

Later this year, he is due to return to Bournemouth Pavilion with a stand up show titled It’s About Time on Saturday 23 May, marking 30 years in show business and drawing on experiences from performing in over 60 countries across five continents.

The appearance will not mark a farewell, with confirmation that Brodie will be back for Christmas this year, when he is set to appear in the pantomime Aladdin, continuing his long running role in the venue’s festive programme.
