
The Liberal Democrats will gather in Bournemouth this year for their Autumn Federal Conference next month.
The event is the party’s main decision-making conference. Every member attending can take part by speaking, voting, and influencing debates. The programme features question sessions, policy debates, training and fringe events run by party figures and outside organisations.
BCP Council Leader Millie Earl and Mid Dorset and North Poole MP Vikki Slade will be doing a joint speech to open conference at 9am on Saturday the 20th of September.
The agenda, set by the Federal Conference Committee, includes 20 policy motions, one business motion, four constitutional amendments and two standing-order amendments.
Sunday 21 September will be Climate and Nature Day, and Monday 22 September will be Youth and Skills Day.
The Institute for Government is staging a series of sessions, including Sir Nick Clegg in conversation on technology, artificial intelligence and political conflict. Other discussions will focus on boosting trade and investment, how devolution can deliver economic growth, and a prevention-led approach to healthcare.
