Visible police patrols will continue across Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole this summer as Dorset Police steps up its Good, Safe Summer campaign.
Throughout the rest of July and August, neighbourhood policing teams will be out on foot in busy town centres and along the seafront, aiming to prevent anti-social behaviour and deal with crime during the school holidays.
Officers will be joined by PCSOs, special constables, and community safety patrol officers.
They say those acting anti-socially may be ordered to leave the area under dispersal powers, and persistent behaviour could lead to further action such as community protection notices or criminal behaviour orders.
The campaign is backed by Dorset Police, BCP Council and the Police and Crime Commissioner. They have confirmed that patrol teams will work closely with local businesses, Business Improvement Districts and community safety staff to keep the area safe for residents and the ten million visitors expected over the summer.
Police Commander Julie Howe said officers will use all their powers to deal with offenders and respond to incidents, adding that Dorset remains one of the safest places in the country.
BCP Councillor Richard Herrett highlighted the importance of partner initiatives such as the LV=Kidzone beach scheme, which helps reunite missing children with their families.
