Bournemouth’s Littledown Park paddling pool has officially reopened for the summer season, providing free outdoor fun for families across the area.
Set within 47 acres of green space, the paddling pool is one of the park’s main attractions and will remain open during the warmer months, subject to weather conditions.
Alongside the paddling pool, Littledown Park offers a range of family-friendly activities including a children’s play area, a wildlife lake, a cricket pavilion, and a volunteer-run miniature railway with rides on select days.
New this year is a feature from Julia’s House Children’s Hospice. As part of its Great Tail Trail, a colourful community sculpture has been installed near the centre and will remain on display until Sunday 1 June.
Rob Cunningham from BH Live, which runs the park with BCP Council, said, “Littledown’s paddling pool is a summer staple for hundreds of families.”
Councillor Richard Herrett added, “It offers valuable free play opportunities for children and is incredibly important to the local community.”
The paddling pool is open seasonally and visitors are reminded that opening times may change depending on the weather. Children must be supervised by an adult at all times.
Free parking is available for up to three hours and outdoor toilets are on site. Littledown is a dog-free park.
