Two people have been arrested and large amounts of cocaine and cash seized as part of a South West Regional Organised Crime Unit investigation into class A drug supply in Dorset.
Supported by officers from Dorset Police and Hampshire Police, a series of five warrants were carried out in the Christchurch, Bournemouth and Poole area as well as a property in Southampton.
A 30-year old man was arrested at a property in Christchurch on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of class A, with between 15 and 20kg of cocaine seized.
A 20-year-old man was arrested nearby for the same offence.
At a separate warrant in the Springbourne area of Bournemouth, approximately £60k cash and another kilo of cocaine were found.
Items associated with drug dealing, including cutting agent, wrappings, and other paperwork were recovered from the other addresses.
Four vehicles were also seized to be searched.
DCI Adam Smith, from the South West Regional Organised Crime Unit, said: “This is a significant investigation into a suspected organised crime group involved in the large-scale supply of cocaine across the county and beyond.
“Work is ongoing to search the properties and recover all potential evidence.
“Our thanks to the officers from Dorset Police who continue to support SWROCU in furthering the investigation.”
