The four-way junction where Fernside Road intersects with Hunt Road and St Mary’s Road in Poole is set to undergo significant upgrades.
A diversion has been set up in Verwood as emergency works are set up on Station Road.
The Ringwood junction westbound entry slip to the A31 closure planned for today has been postponed till January following concerns raised by Ringwood Town Council, local retailers and residents.
A number of trees have fallen over in strong winds on Sunday morning, blocking routes and causing delays.
Roads blocked at the time of writing included:
- Newtown Road, Verwood, between the junctions with Lake Road and the B3072 Manor Road
- B3081 at Sutton Farm, to the north of Verwood past the Albion
- Ringwood Road, Ferndown, near Glenmoor Road / M&S
- Main routes between Three Legged Cross and Wimborne via Holt Heath flooded and fallen tree
- Blandford Road, Poole
A tree at Hainault Drive is also down, blocking some residents in.

The planned half-term closure of the main Verwood to Ringwood road will now go ahead as planned despite being postponed.
The B3081 Verwood Road is closed between Ebblake and the A31 at Ringwood due to a fallen tree.

The B3081 was scheduled to be shut to vehicles from 7.30am On October 25th to 5pm, October 29th 2021.
But in a discussion on the multiple roadworks currently planned for Verwood, Councillor Toni Coombs announced the closure has been put off following action by local councillors.
We’ve requested more information but for now, we can confirm the tree felling work will not be going ahead during half-term.
Meanwhile, tonight (9pm) sees the start of the A31 eastbound entry sliproad towards Ringwood being closed around the clock till Christmas.

Dorset Council is closing parts of Manor Road in Verwood between the hours of 9am and 4pm for five days starting November 1st.
At least four sets of roadworks are causing lengthy delays for commuters this week as Verwood is hit by temporary traffic lights in key locations.
19/10/21 UPDATE: This road closure has been postponed.
The main Verwood to Ringwood road will be closed from 7.30am October 25th to 5pm October 29th 2021.
A full 24-hour closure is to enable tree-felling work to be carried out near Verwood Road.
It will be closed near the A31 Ringwood junction, meaning no access from Verwood to Ringwood for the five-day period, just after the turning to Alderholt.
A diversion will be in place via Three Legged Cross and Ashley Heath.
Emergency access will be maintained throughout, as will access to local properties.
B3081 closure
Separately, the B3072 Manor Road in Verwood will be closed from 1st November to 6th November overnight from 8pm to 6am.
The A31 from Ferndown to St Leonard’s will be closed overnight for three months for street lighting upgrades.
