Investigation underway after fire badly damages house in Southbourne
A fire has badly damaged a house in Southbourne this morning.
Crews from Springbourne, Christchurch and Westbourne were called to the detached property in Pinecliffe Avenue just after nine thirty.
At one point flames could be seen coming from the roof.
An investigation is now underway into the cause of the fire.
Vulnerable will be hit by closure of one of Poole Park’s entrances says campaigner
One of the founders of the Friends of Poole Park has criticised the closure of an entrance to vehicles from today.
The Whitecliff Road and Twemlow Avenue entrance and exit is closed 24 hours a day for a trial period.
A four-week public consultation also begins today on whether to make it permanent.
BCP Council says reducing traffic in the park could benefit both users and wildlife.
But Bob Lister says it will hit the most vulnerable.
An investigation is underway today after a semi-detached house in Bournemouth was badly damaged by fire.
Crews from Christchurch, Springbourne and Westbourne fire stations using pumps and an aerial ladder platform tackled the blaze in Iford Lane last night.
They were on the scene for more than five hours.
No-one was injured.
