A31 lane closure in place between Southampton and Ringwood

A lane closure remains in place today on the A31 westbound between Stoney Cross and Ringwood on the A31 due to a burst water main with congestion already building on the approach.

The incident happened on Tuesday morning and Highways says specialist pumping equipment is needed on site to fix the issue.

Motorists can expect delays of up to an hour at peak times.

Currently, there’s no word on when the issue will be fixed with one lane remaining closed.
