Verwood crew put out hedge fire on Manor Road

Verwood Fire Brigade attended a garden hedge fire in Verwood on Tuesday morning.

An 8m stretch of Leylandii hedge was destroyed by the fire which happened at a property on Manor Road.

Part of the B3072 Manor Road was closed as a result, with traffic being diverted around Church Hill and Dewlands Way.

Verwood Fire Station wrote on Facebook after the event: “Thank you for your patience if you were held up in the traffic whilst we dealt with this incident.”
