Twelve Angry Men is returning to Lighthouse Poole for 5 performances in April 2027.
Reginald Rose’s courtroom drama will run from Tuesday 13 to Saturday 17 April, following West End seasons and bringing the story made famous by the 1957 film back to the Poole stage.
The play follows a jury deciding the fate of a young person accused of killing his father, with what first appears to be a straightforward case becoming more complicated as doubts begin to emerge.
Prejudices and assumptions about the accused, the trial and the jurors themselves shape their discussions as they consider a decision that could determine whether the young defendant loses his life.
Gray O’Brien leads the cast after roles in Coronation Street and Peak Practice, alongside Bill Ward, Ricky Norwood, Tristan Gemmill and Ben Nealon, whose credits include Emmerdale, EastEnders, Casualty and Soldier Soldier.
The production has been described as “the classiest, most intelligent drama playing in the West End”, while the original Twelve Angry Men film received 3 Academy Award nominations. General booking are now open.
