A new interactive family theatre show will bring a prehistoric adventure to Lighthouse Poole this May.
Ice Age Adventure Live arrives on 26 May, taking audiences into a frozen world of glaciers and ancient creatures, where families can follow a story built around a mission to rescue a woolly mammoth.
The production is designed as a fully interactive experience, combining live performance with audience participation, as children are invited to help guide the adventure through icy landscapes and encounters with creatures including sabre toothed animals and dodos.
Writer Edward Johnson said the show offers “a chance for little ones and their grown ups to travel back in time”, describing it as a story with “big, bold characters” and imaginative storytelling set in a prehistoric world.
Created by the team behind Dinosaur Adventure Live, the show blends storytelling, visual elements and interactive moments to keep younger audiences engaged from start to finish.
After the performance, families will also have the opportunity to meet one of the show’s characters, with a special appearance from a life sized polar bear.
The event is set to bring a new family focused theatre experience to Poole, with a mix of storytelling and participation designed for all ages.
