Premier Inn seeks expansion in Poole

Plans have been submitted to expand a hotel and restaurant on Sterte Avenue.

An application has been lodged to add seventeen bedrooms and rebuild the restaurant at the Holes Bay Premier Inn in Poole, with proposals also including outdoor seating beneath a canopy that would be directly accessible from the reception area for hotel guests and diners.

The hotel and its adjoining restaurant were originally built in nineteen ninety six and have since been extended four times to increase bedroom capacity, with the site now containing one hundred and forty six rooms alongside a standalone restaurant building.

Under the plans, the existing restaurant would be demolished and replaced with a larger extension providing a new restaurant and bar area, additional bedrooms, and updated staff facilities, with five rooms on the ground floor and twelve on the first floor accessed via a new corridor leading back to reception.

Planning documents state the extension is aimed at “helping to secure its future” while continuing to support the local economy and customer services.
