Cliff Top Festival plans expansion
The Cliff Top Music Festival in Highcliffe could become a three-day event held twice a year if a new licensing application is approved.
Stir Events CIC, which runs the festival, has applied to vary its premises licence to allow longer hours for live and recorded music, dance performances, and alcohol sales.
Under the new proposal, the event would take place from 6pm to 10pm on Fridays, 11am to 10pm on Saturdays, and 11am to 5pm on Sundays.
The festival, which first took place in September last year, attracted more than 5,000 people to the clifftop site overlooking Christchurch Bay.
It was also recognised earlier this month with a bronze award in the Event of the Year category at the DBM Tourism Awards.
The application to vary the licence was submitted on 10 November and is open for public consultation until 8 December.
If approved, the expanded format would see the festival return in a bigger way, potentially welcoming even more visitors to Highcliffe.
