Green Party conference coming to Bournemouth

The Green Party Conference will take place at Bournemouth International Centre between Friday 3 October and Sunday 5 October.

It will be the first conference for Zack Polanski since he was elected Green Party Leader at the start of September. His first keynote speech as leader is scheduled for 1.30pm on Friday.

Events across the weekend include a panel on Attacks on Protest with Asad Rehman from Friends of the Earth, a speech from Anthony Slaughter, leader of the Welsh Greens, and a panel on How to Beat Reform featuring Olly Knowles from Led by Donkeys.

On Saturday morning a panel on Climate Adaption will be led by Dr Bob Ward from the Grantham Institute, followed by a speech from the party’s deputy leaders. Later in the day, discussions will cover economics, a session called Blueprint to Greenprint with Chris Peckham, and a live recording of Zack Polanski’s podcast Bold Politics with Owen Jones.

The conference concludes on Sunday with a speech from the Global Majority Greens liberation group.

Alongside speeches and panels, members will also debate and vote on party policy motions throughout the weekend.
