Fisherman’s Friends will bring their new UK tour to Lighthouse Poole next October.
The Cornish group have announced a 36-date UK tour for 2027, with the Poole date taking place at Lighthouse Poole on Friday 1 October.
The announcement follows sold-out UK dates this year and a tour in Australia earlier this year. It also comes as the group launch the first Fisherman’s Friends Festival in Cornwall.
The new festival is described as a 3-day celebration of music, maritime heritage and Cornish culture, created at a time when some UK festivals have been scaled back, postponed or closed.
Fisherman’s Friends began as friends singing on the harbour in Port Isaac to raise money for local causes. Their story has since inspired 2 feature films and a touring stage musical.
The 2027 tour will run from February to November, taking the group to theatres and concert halls across the UK.
Fisherman’s Friends said announcing another UK tour while opening their first festival in Cornwall feels “incredibly special”.
They added: “We never imagined when we started singing on The Platt in Port Isaac that it would lead us here.”
The group said launching a festival in Cornwall and seeing audiences continue to support live music means “a great deal” to them.
Priority booking is open now for Lighthouse Friends, with general sale from Thursday 28 May through the Lighthouse Poole website.
