Country duo The Shires announce Poole show

British country duo The Shires will bring their first full band UK tour in 4 years to Poole.

Ben Earle and Crissie Rhodes will perform at Lighthouse’s Concert Hall on Sunday 15 November as part of a 12 date headline tour, featuring well known songs alongside new material from their upcoming album Bonfire.

The new record celebrates “togetherness, escapism, and positivity” and will be released on 3 July, with the duo describing it as their most natural recording yet. Ben said: “This is easily the most instinctive album we’ve ever made.”

The Shires have also released the lead single Getaway Car, an upbeat track built around acoustic guitar and harmony vocals which reflects the album’s energetic and escapist feel.

Since emerging in 2015, the duo have achieved a series of milestones including becoming the first British country act to reach the UK Top 10 with their debut album Brave and later winning a Country Music Association award.

Priority booking for Lighthouse Friends opens on 18 March before tickets go on general sale on 20 March.
