Discussions on the future direction of Poole town centre moved forward during a collaborative workshop held in January.
Stakeholders from across the town met at the Dorset FA County Ground on 22nd January to explore how key sites could be developed, while also addressing challenges facing the town centre and identifying opportunities for long term improvement.
Those taking part included representatives from Network Rail, RNLI, Dorset FA, Legal and General, Oakridge, Stace and BCP Council, bringing together a range of perspectives linked to Poole’s future.
Rather than producing a traditional masterplan, the work will focus on creating a shared, place based delivery framework designed to support practical decision making and coordinated action across the town centre.
The initial session forms part of a wider engagement process, with further partners expected to be involved over the coming months as work continues on setting a clear and shared vision for the next chapter of Poole town centre.
