Train times added to Morebus screens
If you’re catching a bus to the train station, a new feature from Morebus has been introduced just for you, to help with transfers.
Passengers can now see live train times on board buses, helping smoother onward journeys across the Morebus network.
The update means travellers using services that stop near railway stations can check real time rail information on existing next stop screens, which already provide audio and visual announcements to help people identify where they are along their route.
The addition is intended to support passengers making connections between bus and train, particularly during a busy period for public transport when more people are choosing sustainable travel for work, shopping and seasonal trips.
Morebus head of communications Nikki Honer said the new feature has been introduced to make journeys easier, adding that it reflects how buses are increasingly used as part of wider travel plans rather than as stand alone trips.
She said the operator hopes the change will help people feel more confident when planning connections, especially at stops close to railway stations where timing can be important for onward travel.
The live train times are now available on all relevant on board next stop screens across the region, with further travel information continuing to be provided through existing Morebus channels.
