Dorset firms offered growth funding help

Dorset businesses planning to grow next year can access a fully funded programme designed to help them secure the right finance for expansion.

Funding For Scale is aimed at small and medium sized enterprises with established products and ambitions to scale, and is delivered by Evolve Advisory with support from Business Growth Dorset, offering structured guidance for firms looking to invest, expand operations, enter new markets or strengthen internal systems.

The four part series will be delivered through interactive online workshops, starting on 28 January next year, and will help participants assess their readiness to scale while exploring suitable funding options including investment, lending and grant support.

The programme is aimed at Dorset-based businesses generating a consistent revenue of £500k+ with a proven product or service, and who are now looking to scale.

Businesses taking part will also be guided through developing a clear funding narrative and pitch, building financial models and forecasts that funders expect, and understanding how to negotiate funding terms while planning for sustainable growth after investment.

Amelia Atkins, Business Advisor at Evolve Advisory and delivery lead for the programme, said the next stage of growth often brings major decisions, but clear advice can make those choices more manageable and help businesses plan with confidence.

Alongside the workshops, the programme includes one to one advice and support, giving participating businesses a guided pathway through the funding process from early planning through to future growth decisions.

The fully funded programme is open to eligible businesses based in the Dorset Council and BCP Council areas, with places limited and allocated on a first come, first served basis following registration.
