Festive displays brighten Poole town

Festive doorway displays are appearing across parts of Poole as Christmas approaches, with more homes and businesses choosing seasonal floral designs for their entrances.

In areas including Canford Cliffs, Sandbanks, Branksome Park, Westbourne and Lilliput, properties are using bespoke garlands and arches created by Canford Cliffs based Luxeflorae Floral Design and Events, reflecting a wider increase in interest in decorated front doors and gates during the festive period.

The studio has been producing custom designs this season, framing doorways and shop fronts with traditional Christmas greenery and colour schemes, and says the level of demand has already led to bookings and enquiries being taken for Christmas next year.

Founder and creative director Esra Gunputh said the installations can have a practical impact as well as a decorative one, explaining that people often pause to look, take photographs and speak about what they see, which can help draw attention to a property or business.

Luxeflorae has also worked on other seasonal projects during the year, including events in Canford Cliffs, but Christmas remains the busiest time, with requests coming from private homes, independent shops and hospitality venues.

Each installation is designed to suit the individual property, with layouts and colour choices adjusted to ensure no two entrances are the same as residents and businesses prepare for the festive season.
