Local NHS and care partners are inviting residents to a health and wellbeing event in Poole next month.
The event takes place on Wednesday 10 September at The Spire on High Street, running from 10.30am to 12.30pm.
Those attending will be able to find out more about living a healthier lifestyle and the support available from organisations across Dorset. LiveWell Dorset will be on hand to offer blood pressure checks and lifestyle advice, while a range of local services and groups will also be present.
NHS Dorset Integrated Care Board (ICB) will use the event to present its annual report and accounts, highlighting the work carried out across the county. This presentation is scheduled between 11.30am and 12.30pm, and will also be available to watch online through the NHS Dorset YouTube channel.
Organisations and services represented at the Poole event include The Friendly Food Club, LiveWell, Digital Apps, Listening Better and Insight Bank, Integrated Neighbourhood Teams, Healthwatch Dorset, the GP Alliance, University Hospitals Dorset Trust, Wessex Cancer Alliance, and the Dorset Mental Health Forum. Dorset HealthCare and Dorset County Hospital Trusts are also expected to confirm their involvement.
The event forms part of Dorset’s plans to support the NHS ten year strategy, focusing on healthier living, better use of services, and stronger community support.
