Bournemouth and Poole College has reported strong results for its Level Three students, including high university progression rates and achievements above the national average in key qualifications.
This year marked the college’s first set of final year T Level results, with students achieving a pass rate of 96 per cent, five per cent above the national average. These results follow significant investment in new facilities for T Level courses in childcare and digital subjects, giving students the chance to work with industry-standard equipment.
Progression to higher education has also been strong. The college confirmed that 99.6 per cent of applicants secured a place at their chosen university. Many will now move on to study at Russell Group institutions, including University College London, University of Exeter, University of Southampton and University of Bristol.
Figures also show that six per cent of this year’s higher education applicants will be the first in their family to attend university.
Ali Leaverland, Vice Principal at Bournemouth and Poole College, said the results showed the hard work of students and the commitment of staff. “Our investment in facilities, teaching and support ensures that every student has the best possible start to their future,” she said.
The college continues to focus on equipping students with the skills, knowledge and confidence needed for their future plans, whether in higher education or entering the workplace.
