Hendy Group has expanded its electric vehicle offering by opening a new BYD showroom in Christchurch.
The dealership on Stony Lane officially opened on 4 August and offers the full UK line-up of BYD electric and plug-in hybrid models, including the city-focused BYD Dolphin and the larger Seal U DM-i.
The Christchurch showroom is the second BYD location for the Hendy Group, which also opened a site in Kent in June. It was previously branded as KIA and before that, Toyota.
Local customers can now test drive vehicles on site and access aftersales services in a two-bay workshop offering MOTs, servicing and repairs for all car brands. Two electric vehicle charging points are also available for customers while visiting.
Hendy Group chief executive Paul Hendy said there had been strong interest in the BYD brand and that the Christchurch launch would help meet growing demand.
The company operates 68 sites along the south coast and represents 23 different manufacturers.
