A community launch event has marked the countdown to this year’s Seafood and Sounds weekend in Poole.
Held at the St Tropez Club on Wednesday 9 July, the evening brought together volunteers, organisers, sponsors and supporters to begin preparations for the two-day event taking place this September.
Seafood and Sounds 2025 will return to Poole Old Town and The Quay on Saturday 13 and Sunday 14 September. Six live music areas, an artisan market at Scaplen’s Court, family activities, and seafood stalls will run from 11am to 5pm each day.
An Oyster Trail and entertainment from children’s performer Jamie Jigsaw are also planned. Food and drink will be supplied by local restaurants and fish vendors along Poole Quay.
The organisers behind the community weekend include Jeanette from Truly Scrumptious, Michelle from Poole Arms, Helen from Coastal Cruises, Nikki from Customs House, and Severine from St Tropez.
A raffle was launched at the event to support future editions of Seafood and Sounds, with a share of proceeds going to Forest Holme hospice. Tickets will be available in August from participating businesses and at the event.
The Dolphin is this year’s main sponsor, with further support from Poole BID and more than a dozen other local organisations.
The official website is seafoodandsounds.co.uk and printed programmes will be released in mid-August.
