BCP LIFE card brings residents savings

BCP residents can now access a new discount scheme covering council services and local businesses.

The BCP LIFE card includes cheaper parking at selected council operated surface car parks, free swimming at leisure centres, reduced food and drink at council cafes, and savings at seafront attractions across the area.

Residents buying a parking session after 9.30am can receive an additional hour at participating sites, while someone swimming and parking once each month could save more than £80 a year.

Council leader Millie Earl said the scheme would help to “ease ongoing cost of living pressures”, while recognising residents and supporting independent businesses across Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole town centres.

The programme is funded through the Government’s UK Shared Prosperity Fund, alongside matched council funding, and further offers will be added as more local firms choose to join the scheme in future.

Available benefits and registration details are published on the BCP LIFE website, which will continue to be updated as businesses join, while local independent firms are also being invited to take part.
