Passengers travelling on Morebus routes 16 and 17 in Poole and Bournemouth are now using eight new double deck buses, replacing older vehicles as part of a £2.4 million fleet renewal programme.
The Alexander Dennis Enviro400 MMC buses are designed to improve comfort and reduce emissions, featuring the latest Euro VI diesel engines.
The new vehicles also include USB charging points, improved ventilation and next stop announcements to enhance the journey for customers.
Luke Williams, Morebus service delivery manager, said the investment shows a commitment to reliable public transport for local communities.
He explained that modern, efficient buses help ensure more of the fleet meets current emissions standards while improving the customer experience.
Driver Saphron Harrington said the new buses have been well received by both drivers and passengers, offering a comfortable and smooth journey.
The ongoing investment is part of Morebus’ efforts to upgrade its fleet and improve travel for customers across the network.
