Poole retail crime order secured

Dorset Police says neighbourhood officers and its dedicated Retail Crime Team are working together to tackle retail crime across Poole and the wider BCP area.

In Poole, officers secured a criminal behaviour order against repeat shoplifter Charlie Dean Kenneth Carr, 27, of no fixed abode.

Police say evidence linked him to around 50 theft and related matters over a four-year period.

Under the order, Carr is banned from entering any Co-op, Iceland or Food Warehouse store in the BCP area, as well as any retail premises where he has already been banned.

He must also leave any store when asked by staff, security, council officers or police.

Dorset Police says retailers are being encouraged to use the NiCE digital evidence platform to report offences and submit evidence directly to officers.
