JPMorgan plans approved for Bournemouth

Plans for new office space, infrastructure and parking at Chaseside have been approved in Bournemouth.

BCP Council’s Eastern Planning Committee has given the application for JPMorgan’s application, allowing the proposed development to move forward.

The council says the investment represents confidence in Bournemouth and its future, while supporting wider economic growth across Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole.

Council Leader Councillor Millie Earl said Bournemouth continues to compete with leading locations across the UK while maintaining “the character, quality of life and sense of community” that attracts people to live and work in the area.

She said investment by major employers can have wider benefits beyond their own workforce, adding it can create “lasting opportunities for local people”, provide long term career pathways for graduates and increase job opportunities for people who want to remain in the area.

She also said it helps grow the local economy and demonstrates that Bournemouth is “somewhere where opportunity grows”, with the presence of major businesses helping to deliver positive outcomes for residents.
