Councillor Daniel Bleeze has left the Reform Group and will now serve as an independent on Poole Town Council for Hamworthy East ward.
Daniel Bleeze, who was elected as a Reform councillor, announced his decision to resign from the group, citing concerns about a lack of openness and respect for differing opinions within the party.
He explained that he joined Reform because he believed in transparency, accountability and prioritising local people, but has grown increasingly concerned about the direction of the group and how decisions are made.
He stated that there has been insufficient respect for differing views and a disconnect between the leadership’s priorities and the needs of the community.
Daniel Bleeze said his main responsibility remains to the people of Hamworthy East, not to any political faction.
He added that he will continue to work constructively with councillors from all parties where it benefits local residents and will focus on championing local projects and supporting investment in the community.
He described his decision as difficult but necessary to best serve his constituents.
