Arrest over changing room reports at H&M

A Bournemouth man has been arrested after reports of pictures being taken inside changing rooms at H&M.

Dorset Police received a report at 1.08pm on Saturday 30 May 2026 that a man was taking photographs of female customers in the changing rooms at the H&M store in Castlepoint Shopping Centre.

The man was reportedly challenged by people at the shop before leaving the premises, prompting officers to begin enquiries into the circumstances surrounding the report.

Police have since arrested a 47-year-old Bournemouth man on suspicion of voyeurism. He has been released on police bail while the investigation continues.

Officers say the matter remains an “active investigation” and have asked people not to speculate or share images connected with the case online or through social media.

Anyone with information, or footage which may help the investigation, is being asked to contact Dorset Police online or by calling 101.

People should quote occurrence number 55260079505 when getting in touch.

Information can also be provided anonymously to Crimestoppers through its website or by calling 0800 555 111.
