Dorset Police says two people have been charged following the discovery of suspected explosive items at a property in Suffolk Avenue, Christchurch.
A suspected explosive device was first found at the address on Monday 15 June while officers were carrying out arrest enquiries.
Police say further possible explosive devices were later found during ongoing searches, with Explosive Ordnance Disposal teams involved in making items safe.
A woman in her 60s and a man in his 30s have been charged with offences including possession of an offensive weapon in a private place, firearms certificate breaches and possessing an explosive substance with intent to endanger life or cause damage.
They are due to appear at Poole Magistrates’ Court on Thursday 18 June.
A man in his 60s remains in custody and has been taken to hospital for treatment for an unrelated medical matter.
A cordon remains in place while searches continue, but police say there is no wider threat to the public.
