People living on or near Suffolk Avenue in Christchurch remain unable to return home after a suspected explosive device was found by police on Monday.
The device was removed from a property on Monday evening, but Dorset Police says a 50-metre cordon remains in place while further searches continue.
Two men and a woman arrested on suspicion of firearms offences remain in police custody.
BCP Council says affected residents who need help with accommodation can contact its out-of-hours team, and that support remains available if the incident continues.
