Bournemouth Pier remains free to access

The toll to access Bournemouth Pier is remaining free as part of a wider summer savings offer.

Adventure Attractions, which operates Bournemouth Pier and RockReef, says it is supporting the Government’s Great British Summer Savings initiative and adding extra help for families visiting the seafront this summer.

The Government scheme launches on 25 June and will temporarily reduce VAT on children’s attractions and leisure activities from 20% to 5% until 1 September, including birthday packages.

RockReef and PierZip, based at the end of the pier, are also offering discount on selected activities until 1 September 2026 as part of the local response.

Sarah Hunter, Managing Director of Adventure Attractions, said the Government initiative was “a really positive step” in making family leisure more accessible.

She said removing the Pier Toll was “a significant investment” in improving access and supporting local tourism, while the RockReef and PierZip offer would help families keep “costs under control”.
