Jessica Toale has welcomed a new one-off meningitis B vaccination programme for young people.
Around one million young people across the UK will be offered the MenB vaccine.
Two doses will be offered to Year 13 pupils and to 18 to 25-year-olds starting university or residential further education for the first time this autumn.
Jessica Toale had campaigned for wider access to the vaccine following the death of Bournemouth University student Meg Draper in October 2025.
Meg had received the MenACWY vaccine, but that does not protect against MenB.
The vaccines will be offered through pharmacies in July and August, with Year 13 students contacted by the NHS and eligible under-25s able to book directly.
