The Friends of Charminster Library group is organising a demonstration outside the library on Friday.
The library has been closed since December 2025 following a partial ceiling collapse.
BCP Council has said the building will remain closed indefinitely after detailed structural assessments.
A public meeting was held in May at Castlepoint Library, with residents, campaigners and local councillors discussing the future of the site.
The demonstration will take place on the grass outside Charminster Library from 3pm to 4.30pm.
Louise Norman from the Friends group said there is concern the council may be unable or reluctant to fund the repairs needed to reopen the building.
She said losing the library, which is listed as an Asset of Community Value, would be a tragic loss for the area.
