Applications have opened for residents to help lead a £20 million regeneration programme in West Howe.
The decade-long Pride in Place investment is designed to support improvements chosen by local people, helping build a stronger and more connected community.
A new Neighbourhood Board will be set up, made up of residents, community groups and businesses from West Howe.
It will be led by an independent Neighbourhood Chair, who will provide strategic leadership and work with residents, Bournemouth West MP Jessica Toale, and local organisations.
Ms Toale said it was an exciting opportunity to shape the future of West Howe, and encouraged anyone who lives or works in the area to apply.
Applications for the chair position are open until 10 July, with interviews due to take place between 20 and 24 July.
The chair is expected to be in post by 3 August.
The selection process for 12 Neighbourhood Board members will then take place between 10 and 21 August, with applications to join the board set to open soon.
Ms Toale said communities like West Howe had been overlooked for too long, and that the investment must be shaped by people who know and love the area.
Residents have already highlighted priorities including youth services, green space improvements and better community connectivity.
