Cardiac arrest survivor reunited with ambulance crew

Susan Rousell, 71, from Highcliffe in Christchurch, has met the South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust crew who helped save her life.

Susan called 999 on November 11 last year after experiencing concerning symptoms at home.

While ambulance crews were assessing her, she went into cardiac arrest in her living room.

Paramedics and emergency ambulance associates gave CPR, used a defibrillator and stabilised her before taking her to Royal Bournemouth Hospital.

Susan later received multiple stents as part of her cardiac care.

She has now met the crew again at Christchurch Ambulance Station to thank them in person.
