Dolphin car park lifts still out of service

Several lifts at the Dolphin Centre car parks in Poole remain out of order.

In April, all six lifts in the multi-storey car park were reported as out of service.

As of Thursday 28 May, only two lifts across the Dolphin Centre and Shoppers One car parks were operational.

The Dolphin Centre says Shoppers Two currently has no working lifts, meaning there is no step-free access from that car park to ground level.

Centre manager John Grinnell said the situation was having a serious impact on visitors and retailers, and called on BCP Council to provide a clear repair timeline.

BCP Council says it is looking at long-term solutions and highlighted alternative step-free routes, including ground-floor disabled parking, ramped access from upper levels, nearby car parks and bus services to Poole Bus Station.
